HULL is of hand laid solid GRP to Lloyd’s specifications, with foam filled fiberglass longitudinal and athwartships frame stiffeners. Deck is of fiberglass sandwich construction again with foam filled fiberglass stiffeners and with encapsulated marine ply reinforcement of all hardware mountings and stainless steel plates for through bolts. Unusually, decks are finished white non slip to provide the least heat transmission in tropical conditions and to reduce maintenance requirements. Underwater sections have undergone complete gel coat replacement with epoxy in 1998 although no osmosis was found. An out of water survey was performed in July 2002, moisture readings were within acceptable levels.
RIGGING is all 316 stainless steel, all of which has been either replaced within the last 5 years, or undergone thorough testing for integrity.
INTERIOR. Flooring is of teak and holly with all edges capped, varnished to a high finish. All hull sides, bulkheads and lockers are faced with teak, all doors, capping and trim are of solid teak.
