Unusually, decks are finished white non slip to provide the least heat transmission in tropical conditions and to reduce maintenance requirements. Underwater sections have undergone complete gel coat replacement with epoxy in 1998 although no osmosis was found. An out of water survey was performed in July 2002, moisture readings were within acceptable levels.
